Make sure you're using a Subsplits component as opposed to a Splits component, and name the splits as you've done in your post.
Also use Subsplits instead of Splits in your layout. I haven’t touched the program in a while so I’m not sure if that is exactly what you mean, just booted it up to see if I could help. Hope it does!

Sep 30, 2025 · Im one of the people that was looking forward to this update, when it got added i was very happy and glad it was implemented, it's fixed for normal splits, but for SubSplits it's still an issue
Subsplits are used to create "Chapters" for tracking times. One split will act as a "Header split", and this split will drop into many subsections (hence the name subsplits).

Those are known as subsplits. First, add them in place of splits in the layout editor. Then, in order to lay them out according to the picture, edit your splits to look like this (for the San Fierro section):
